Over the years I have come to believe that I am quite lucky. That I have lived (and am still living) a good life. This is something I am very thankful for.

Along the way there have been many bumps and bruises, many mistakes and falls (some really hard) and there have been many tough situations. Yet the ones I would define as good or positive outnumber the challenging ones by a good margin, hence my gratitude.

This blog was created with the aim to highlight the amazing work done by my guardian angels – without whose help I would not be here – and to offer them my sincere appreciation and gratitude.

During four decades of world travel in search of adventure and learning some pretty interesting situations and related stories developed.

(For 20+ years I was one of the key people who built up Wakatobi.)

On these pages I share some of those stories with you in the hope that they may offer some reading pleasure, amusement (you are free to laugh with, or at, me) or merely serve as a reason to reflect.

For some they may even offer a form of encouragement or inspiration.
